Spring Newsletter 2024

Winter Survey

Thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey. Your feedback is extremely helpful as we plan for the upcoming outdoor season and next fall and winter’s indoor season.

There were hundreds of positive comments, but when I reviewed them, it was clear that extending the hours to 2 pm and offering drills on court 7 were two of the top positive changes this year. Also, your appreciation of the Committee and our community as a whole was very clear! THANK YOU!!!

There were lots of great suggestions regarding the facility that we will be taking to the management for next fall, including, but not limited to new nets, tinting the glass doors, re-taping court 7 and a blind to block the lights from the front desk. We are also working with XL for more evening and weekend hours & league play.Summer Outdoor Schedule.

Parking at Beach Street Courts

The parking map has been updated on the website. The two most notable changes are:

The “No Parking” on Beach Street's north side has been extended further west towards the daycare facility. Parking on the south side of the street is allowed, but please note that it is still illegal to park within 10 feet of a crosswalk in Maine.

Parking is now allowed on the south side of Summer Street, and the Little League field gate will remain unlocked. Please ensure you park all the way off the road when parking so traffic is not impacted.

Also Remember, there is no parking in the school district lot M-F 8 am - 4 pm year round.

Serving

While the PPA did run an experiment regarding a change in rules for serving, both the USAPA and the PPA are NOT making any changes at this time.
