  • Welcome to Saco Pickleball at Beach Street. The pickleball community is a friendly, welcoming group of people who love the sport. We would be happy to assist you in your journey. We have a few links to help you get started!

    As a new or newer player, we recommend you try to play mid to late morning, after 10:30 am. The courts are less crowded, and we have players that would be happy to help you learn. Please let someone know you are new to Beach Street, and we will help you get started.

  • If you are unsure of your rating, please ask one of our committee members to watch you play a game.

    You can also participate in any tournament hosted on PickleballBrackets.com, PickleballTournaments.com, or in one of our formal events.

  • Yes. There is a handicap-accessible port-a-potty near the entrance of the courts by the trees.

  • Yes. Though during “Open Play” hours, you cannot specifically take a court to yourselves. When not during scheduled Open Play times, the courts are treated as “first come, first serve.” Your party cannot hold a court for more than an hour if people are waiting to play. Look at the calendar for evening events and availability.

  • No. The Beach Street Pickleball Committee provides balls for play.

  • If you are new to the sport, we recommend spending less than $40. You can find them at big box stores and online. We also have a few members who sell used paddles.
